New name?

Over on Connexions Richard Hall highlighted the death of the oldest blogger at 101 and Kim commented "God at his computer (pace Larson): Cut (on earth), paste (to heaven)". Then Dave Warnock came up with a startling question for me - "Have you thought about what to call your blog when it is no longer appropriate?" I certainly hadn't! The years are flashing by with astonishing speed, so I will have to find a different name before long. All suggestions will be welcome.

Olive,

It is very trendy at the moment to think in terms of post (post-modern, post-Christendom). So maybe post-Octomusings.

Sorry not very creative today.

I suppose as ninety somethings are nonagenarians you could change to nonomusings except that might seem to people you have nothing to say (non.
I like Pam's suggestion

No, FP, I decided against calling it nonomusings because it sounds so empty and is as if I were a non-starter. I'm not too keen on post-octomusings either, Pam,but 'Olive Branches' sounds wonderful! Thanks.

Glad you like it! :-) It also seems 'very Olive'.

Thanks, again, Pam. Now my problem is whether to aim to make sure that I live another 3 years before I need to change or decide to change to my new name before anno domini forces me to do so! I shall have to give it some thought!

I look forward to the time when you are considering the next change on reaching your 'Century'. My blog name came about because it was the call sign I used in the days of CB radio - think I might keep it for a while at least.

You're asking for a lot, FP! I reckon that if (and when) I change to something like 'Olive Branches' that should see me out, don't you, Pam?

It seems like a long-lasting name to me! :-)

octoplusmusings :)
olive branches is lovely - but it's a tad ordinary - and you are nothing but special.

My teenage daughter just cam ein as I was reading you - she looked at your picture - asked what octo and musing meant (she speaks Finnish more than English) and when I explained she looked again and said "cool -really cool" - from that is high praise!

Oh, Lorna, I don't think I'm really special! 'Olive Branches' is the best suggestion so far, but i don't need to make up my mind just yet. Thank your daughter, Lorna, and give hera hug. Maybe I'll ask my young friends here who call me 'Auntie Olive' what ideas they have.
